Halftone Zine Fest

Halftone Zine Fest is a celebration of DIY publishing that takes place in Lexington, KY. The first event of this kind was called the Ephemera Festival and took place in 2013! The fest was re-named the KFZ: Kentucky Fried Zine fest in late 2014, and was put on hiatus in 2020. Its re-emergence from hiatus came under the new name: halftone zine fest, honoring the DIY xerox aesthetic.

VERY zine-focused. I tend to make more full-length comics and graphic novels. I think I'll create some zines if I plan to re-apply. Lots of good energy and real interest in that specific community. "DIY" is one of their focuses – home-printed over even POD.
