I'm an artist and writer making paintings, books, and graphic novels. After 15 years teaching K-12 visual art, I'm building a new career as an illustrator, writer, painter, and novelist. My comics range from a sci-fi series about a group of monks to a handful of one-shots and a post-apocalyptic series called the Low Spiral. I've also worked on a number of children's books, and my first novel — co-written with my brother Matthew — is set in 1990s Ohio and follows a game warden who uncovers a legacy of crime and corruption. My newest graphic novel, Wes Sherman writes his name, is about the painting process of New Jersey artist Wes Sherman.
